Introduction to Watchmaking (1h)
Start with the basics: the history, different types of mechanical movements, and key components like the mainspring and escapement. This will give you a solid understanding of what makes a watch tick, setting you up for the hands-on part of the session.
Disassembly (1h30)
Time to get hands-on! With guidance from Gilles Clavareau and his team, you’ll disassemble a mechanical movement, learning to use tweezers, precision screwdrivers, and loupes. This step-by-step process will help you master the meticulous techniques essential to watchmaking.
Steps 3, 4, and 5 : Advanced Course (Coming Soon)
Break (30 min)
After all that work, enjoy a 30-minute break with a complimentary drink. It’s the perfect time to chat with fellow participants, share stories, and soak in the workshop’s friendly vibe.
