Universal Genève "Tuxedo" - SOLD

The Universal Genève brand is mainly known for having created some of the most beautiful vintage chronographs with its "Compax", "Tri-Compax" collections or the classic "Polerouter" line designed by the legendary Gérald Genta.

However, some lesser-known model families have some great surprises for us, such as this classic steel model with straight chamfered lugs. Its sublime dial nicknamed "Tuxedo" in reference to the colors of smoking/tuxedos is a fine example of what Universal was capable of at the time, namely transmitting great personality through a dial.

The center of the dial is domed and silver-colored with stripes. It contrasts beautifully with the black relief contour. The absence of a date allows the whole to be particularly symmetrical and coherent despite the different materials and colors.

This particular watch is an opportunity to have a rare vintage watch within a reasonable budget.
