Born in 1967 from a collaboration with the French company Compagnie Maritime d’Expertise (COMEX), the Double Red Sea-Dweller was produced for roughly a decade until 1977.
Housed in a robust stainless steel Oyster case, it features a helium escape valve, a crucial innovation that allows trapped gases to safely exit during decompression. Its clean, highly legible dial paired with a unidirectional rotating bezel ensures optimal functionality in low-visibility conditions.
The present example, manufactured in 1973, features the Mk3 “Double Red” dial configuration, named after the two red lines of text reading “SEA-DWELLER” and “SUBMARINER 2000.”
