The Rolex Milgauss 1019, produced from 1960 to 1988, is one of the brand’s most distinctive professional models. Designed for engineers, scientists, and professionals working in high-magnetic-field environments, it can withstand magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss — hence the name “Milgauss.”

The reference 1019 stands out for its clean, technical aesthetic: a 38 mm stainless steel Oyster case, a minimalist dial available in black or silver, and straight, functional hands. Unlike modern versions, it does not feature the orange lightning-bolt seconds hand, but instead offers a subtle vintage charm that collectors deeply appreciate.

Now rare and highly sought after, the Milgauss 1019 represents a symbol of scientific precision and a unique chapter in Rolex’s history.

The model presented here is the black-dial version, featuring a red inscription that provides a subtle contrast, echoing the iconic model it refers to. The model dates from 1969 and is in superb overall condition, very likely unpolished, with its beautiful original bevels preserved.
