The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is undoubtedly the most coveted Rolex, regardless of its generation. It is also a watch that has broken records during auctions, notably at Phillips in 2017 with the very own reference 6239 "Paul Newman" of Paul Newman, which was sold for about 17,752,500$.
The reference 6263 is mainly recognized by its screwed pushers (which provide additional security) and the black bezel. Speaking of the bezel, it is a tachymeter scale made from bakelite/plexiglas.
This model is nicknamed "Big Red" due to the "Daytona" writing in large red letters just above the hour counter which adds a subtle touch of color to its silver dial. The black counters with white writings contrasts elegantly to improve the readability of the dial.
This particular model comes with its orginal box and papers from 1982, making it a true collector's piece.
