This 18 ct rose gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual from 1951 is nicknamed the "Big Bubbleback" due to its domed case back, necessary to accommodate the Perpetual movement’s oscillating weight, and also due to its large 36 mm diameter, considered quite large for its era.

The polished case beautifully contrasts with its stunning dial, highly admired by collectors: the honeycomb or waffle dial. This unique texture, featuring small raised diamond-shaped patterns, makes the dial particularly captivating.
The faceted, polished triangular hour markers reflect light beautifully against the cream-colored background. The sharp, pointed Dauphine hands perfectly complement the indices, enhancing the watch’s refined aesthetic.
