Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse "Clous de Paris" Stainless Steel - 11.000€

  • In 1968 Patek Phillipe unveiled the Golden Ellipse. Neither round nor square, its elliptical shape is guided by the classical principle of the Golden Ratio. The case was originally crafted in precious metals, most often yellow gold or white gold, reinforcing the watch’s luxurious nature. Its minimalist dial, often deep blue or champagne with simple hour markers and no numerals, highlighted the refined simplicity that became the hallmark of the model.

This particular model stands out for not being made of a precious metal, but rather of steel, a material known to be exceptionally rare in Patek Philippe's production. It is one of the very few Golden Ellipse watches ever crafted in stainless steel.

The "Clous de Paris" bezel, a motif that was a signature element of Patek Philippe's design language in the 1990s, adds even more uniqueness to this Golden Ellipse, as does the white dial with black Roman numerals.

The watch also features a date complication, which is quite uncommon among Golden Ellipse models. The signature buckle, which reflects the design codes of the collection, is likewise made of steel, completing the cohesive and rare aesthetic of this exceptional timepiece.
