Breitling Co-Pilot Chronograph "Raquel Welch" - 13.000€

  • The Breitling CP “Co-Pilot” chronograph with black anodized bezel, introduced around 1965, is one of the most iconic variations of the series. Its aluminum bezel, paired with the reverse panda dial with light sub-dials, give the watch a more technical and assertive look compared to the earlier steel bezel versions. Powered by the manual Venus 178 movement and featuring a 15-minute counter designed for pre-flight checklists, it combined practical aviation use with bold aesthetics in a 41 mm case, which was considered large for the time.

This particular model earned the nickname “Raquel Welch” after being worn by the actress in the 1967 film Fathom. Welch, a global star and symbol of 1960s glamour, gave the watch an added layer of cultural significance, blending the worlds of aviation and cinema. Today, this combination of technical pedigree, striking design, and pop culture association makes the black bezel Co-Pilot one of the most desirable vintage Breitling among collectors.
